Abstract
The article reveals the essence of panic in children with hearing impairments in wartime conditions, the causes of panic attacks and methods of reactions to traumatic events of parents, the immediate environment, which has a direct impact on the child’s behavior, emotional reactions, and self-regulation. Panic attacks are considered from the standpoint of the emotional sphere, stressful impact on affects that are difficult to master, regardless of whether the fear is fictional, hyperbolized or real. The causes and features of panic in children with special educational needs and possible mechanisms of psychological work with this phenomenon are updated. The basics of psychotherapeutic work with panic attacks in children with hearing impairment are outlined through linear and cyclic concepts. Four types of adult reactions to extreme situations, including war, are characterized, which affect the child’s emotional state and the appearance of panic.
