Abstract
Creating a safe and supportive environment in an educational institution is a priority task for all participants in the educational process: peers and adults, including parents or guardians, teachers and the management of the educational institution. The task of adults is to encourage students to be more involved in educational life, to stimulate the desire to learn and study, to provide children with physical and domestic safety, to show empathy and tolerance. A psychologically safe educational environment unites peers and teachers, increases the resilience of all participants in the educational process, and promotes high-quality mastery of competencies. Given today's realities, special attention should be paid to the issue of tolerance and empathy in ensuring the psychological safety of the educational environment: socially vulnerable children, children with different religious views, different sexual orientations, and internally displaced children should feel confident, have the opportunity to express themselves, and not be bullied by all participants in the educational process.
