Abstract
The modern system of professional education soon responds to the demands of society. A modern graduate of a higher education institution should be competent, flexible, have a number of professionally important qualities, including highly developed motivation. The relevance of the topic of this study is that modern students have a poor idea about their future profession, most of them also have low learning motivation. There is also a difference between students' expectations and the actual content of the educational process. The problem of motivation is important both for lecturers and employers, because the need for specialists in the modern labor market is quite high. At the same time the efficiency of the process depends on the level of students' learning motivation and lecturers' readiness to change. Motivation related to professional interest in the process of mastering a profession acts as a resource and prerequisite for becoming a professional. Stable professional motives of learning activities and quite adequate ideas about their future profession (job) are important for a student. In this case students will strive for constant development of creativity aimed at obtaining new knowledge and formation of professionally important qualities. Professional motives, in fact, are modified motives for choosing a profession, as they depend on how the acquaintance with the profession occurred, how the educational process in a particular institution of higher education is organized. In the process of learning the motivational sphere of students changes: new motives appear, the already established motives change, the importance of individual motives is reevaluated, the structure of motives also changes. Successful learning activity of a student comes from a high level of learning motivation. Motivation of students in the learning process is the methods, processes, means and their attitude to cognitive activity. Motivations can be emotions and desires, interests, settings and needs. Student motivation is the most effective way to improve the quality of the learning process.
