Abstract
The theses update the problem of structuring the content of education in a specialized school during the implementation of the reform of the educational system of Ukraine. It is proposed to distinguish four educational fields: linguistic and literary, STEM, social and humanitarian, physical development and safety, and six compulsory subjects and at least six general subjects/integrated courses, which must be chosen by the educational institution when creating its own educational program. This enables the implementation of the strategic function of specialized secondary education — meeting the educational needs and requests of education seekers in accordance with their inclinations, abilities, and future life plans.
