Abstract

This article substantiates the main tasks of the development strategy of general secondary education institutions in the national and European dimensions. The commonality of the search for innovative ways of development of general education institutions in Ukraine and abroad is determined: innovations occur in a single vector, given by changing views on the role of education in the world and the rapid development of information technologies; education systems are changing under the influence of the constant complication of economic activity, social relations and cultural changes caused by globalization; the need for effective dissemination of innovative practices, including their resource support, is increasing. The main innovations in educational systems were identified: design of new curricula and programs; growing variety of teaching methods and technologies; expanding the use of information technologies in education; activation of students' positions in the learning process; changes in approaches to the assessment of student learning outcomes; inclusion of resources of the external environment in the educational process; and support for the development of teachers' professionalism. It is emphasized that the solution of learning tasks should ensure a harmonious combination of modern educational technosphere and humanitarian sciences. This is due to the anticipatory growth of the role of humanitarian knowledge as the basis of the progress of civilization and humanism in the conditions of rapid technological development. An important phenomenon is the emergence of author schools in regional educational systems, which are not only centers of pedagogical innovations but also a form of social ties that influence the socio-cultural development of cities and villages and territorial communities. The tasks of the development of the institution of general secondary education are the need to update the management of the modern school and the constant professional self-development of its head. This requires a systematic reform of institutions of professional development, which also need to be improved, responding to the complexity of management contexts and new tasks.
