Abstract

The current stage of the development of science is characterized by the crisis of science as a social institution. The way to overcome such a crisis can be the democratization of scientific activity through the spread of science as a culture of free scientific research and a culture of rational discourse and argumentation. The involvement of as many people as possible in such a culture is also a criterion for the development of society.
