Abstract
The relevance of the problem of formation of family values among senior pupils is explained, first of all, by the fact that the conscious responsibility of the individual for the future of his family and children should be born at school age. A prerequisite for the formation of family values is the disappointing situation of the modern family, which, like the entire Ukrainian society, is currently in a state of crisis, characterized by increasing psychological tension, an increase in the number of stressful situations, the rejection of established values and the emergence of new, sometimes unfounded and fleeting. The development of the "Secrets of a Happy Family Life" program was the leading means of implementing such a condition as the involvement of senior pupils in mastering family values (love, parenthood, family socio-psychological harmony, organizational and material functioning of the family) in extracurricular work. When developing the "Secrets of a Happy Family Life" program with the aim of introducing it into the process of extracurricular work of experimental institutions of general secondary education, we took into account the fact that we define the concept of "formation of family values in high school students in extracurricular work" as the purposeful activity of teachers in the assimilation of values by students, which is the basis of the full-fledged functioning of the modern family, as a set of principles, content, forms, methods of pedagogical work aimed at the development of cognitive, emotional-value, practical-activity components of this phenomenon. Developing the program "Secrets of Happy Family Life" with the aim of introduction of it into the process of extracurricular work of experimental institutions of general secondary education, took into account fact that we define the concept of "formation of family values in high school students in extracurricular work" as the purposeful activity of teachers in the assimilation of values by students, which is the basis of the full-fledged functioning of the modern family, as a set of principles, content, forms, methods of pedagogical work aimed at the development of cognitive, emotional-value, practical-activity components of this phenomenon. Various forms and methods of conducting educational work with senior pupils are considered, designed to familiarize pupils with the basics of the culture of family life, namely: creative tasks, brainstorming, guided discussion, work in small groups, auction of ideas, game methods, solving situations of moral choice, dialogues, project method, etc. Considerable attention is paid to highlighting such individual and personal forms as: individual consultation, individual task, individual conversation. The individual approach provided for the implementation of a pedagogical position of approval, understanding, and support for each pupil as a prerequisite for stimulating self-esteem in him, strengthening his faith in his abilities, realizing not only the possibility, but also the expediency of getting rid of traits and qualities that made it difficult for him to become a future family member.
