Abstract
The research data, obtained from monitoring studies, show that the consequences of COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine have had a negative impact on the mental health of the population. According to the definition of the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health is “a state of well-being in which each person can realize his or her own potential and cope with the stresses of life, work productively and fruitfully, and contribute to the life of community”. Treatment and prevention of the mental health of the country’s population, the creation of mechanisms for providing psychosocial support and assistance from professionals in the medical and pharmaceutical industries actualize the need to introduce adapted educational programs on mental health issues into the educational and professional programs of training Masters of Pharmacy and the integration of built-in educational modules with mental health issues in the curricula of pharmacology, pharmacotherapy and clinical pharmacy. The aim of the work. The article deals with the implementation of a comparative analysis, generalization and identification of ways of implementing the foreign experience of training Masters of Pharmacy in mental health issues into the educational process of training Masters of Pharmacy in Ukraine. Materials and Methods. In the article, a comparative analysis of educational and professional programs for training Masters of Pharmacy is carried out; international documents and research results, which reveal the experience of implementing the best practices on mental health issues in the educational process of training pharmacists at the Master’s level in terms of content, structure of educational programs, form of organization educational process, are systematized. Results and Discussion. The results of the study indicate that the practice of professional training of Masters of Pharmacy in mental health is quite widespread at the world level and is presented in various scientific publications. The results of their analysis indicate different forms of organization of training. Conclusions. We see the implementation of the best foreign educational practices in the professional training of pharmacists of Ukraine on mental health issues at the Master’s level with further training in the system of continuous professional development (CPD) as promising; expansion of pharmacists’ protocols on the provision of pharmaceutical assistance in the field of medical products, which are sold according to a doctor’s prescription under the Medical Guarantee Program.
