Abstract
The development of sensory and perceptual processes is the basis for the full development of cognitive and speech functions of preschoolers. Meaningfulness, objectivity, integrity, structure, selectivity, constancy are the main properties of perception as part of higher mental functions, which ensures the assimilation of ideas about objects and phenomena of the surrounding world. Children with special speech needs, in particular alalia, have peculiar features of the formation of praxical, gnostic, mnestic, thinking functions and operations, attention, emotional, behavioral spheres, which require a detailed logopsychodiagnostic study with the aim of further drawing up an effective individual development program. That is why we primarily studied the main types of gnosis of preschoolers with motor alalia. The quantitative and qualitative results of the research made it possible to analyze in depth the damaged mechanisms of psycho-speech activity of the specified category of children, to outline the main content emphases of corrective-developmental, compensatory and educational work in the conditions of the speech therapy and inclusive group of the preschool education institution.
