Abstract
The study of the discipline "Formation of soft skills of the subjects of the educational process" is a discipline of the elective component of the curriculum. This discipline provides personal and professional development in higher education, it is aimed at forming an effective, independent and self-confident future researcher and teacher of higher education, capable of lifelong learning. The content of the discipline and methods and forms of its teaching are focused on developing the ability of higher education to self-organization and self-management, his critical and reflective thinking, leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work in a team. Particular attention is paid to the formation of the ability of effective interpersonal interaction, decision-making, goal-setting and achieving complex multi-level goals of personal, professional and career development. As an optional component, the study of the discipline will allow applicants for higher education to form an individual educational trajectory. The purpose of studying the discipline is the formation of future specialists of knowledge and competencies of socio-humanitarian nature, such as: the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, mastery of effective argumentation techniques and communicative competence in general, understanding of professional and ethical responsibility of management decisions, the ability to analyze and critique decisions, the art of time management and proper goal setting, understanding the need for learning and personal development throughout life.
