Abstract

This article discusses the psychological aspects of the collective trauma of Ukrainians during war. The author introduces the statistical data of users of the crisis line of psychological support of the National Psychological Association of Ukraine, which has been operating since June 2022 in Ukraine and in more than 20 European countries, providing shelter to Ukrainians, women, and children. The dynamics of calls during the first year of working on the line were analyzed. The total number of requests exceeded 6,000, and the number of private telephone consultations was approximately 400. The most common appeals are analyzed. According to the notes of the author of the publication, Ukrainians most often apply for psychological help because of acute stress due to the war, family and relationship problems, forced change of residence, and war-related loss of work or income. Directions for the psychological and psychoeducational support of pedagogues and scientists to restore their mental health are proposed. It was noted that appeals regarding raising children tended to be more active. That is, the general disorientation of Ukrainians related to the challenges of the war directly affects family relationships and the interaction between parents and children. Because children are usually a mirror of society’s troubles, such difficulties are transferred from the space of families to the space of school education. Teachers who face the challenges of war are often burdened by the challenges borne by students and their parents. This article introduces the priority directions of psychological help and psychoeducation for teachers, which contribute to the development of four main competencies – psychological, informational, communicative, and future literacy. The content of the All-Ukrainian scientific and methodological webinar "12 steps to develop the psychological stability of Ukrainians", which consists of a cycle of practice-oriented webinars aimed at the psychological recovery of educators, has been announced.
