Abstract
An important component of the professional competence of a teacher of a higher education institution - andragogical competence and its structural components: value-motivational, cognitive-content, reflective-evaluative, and operational-active. On the basis of the selected components of andragogical competence of teaching staff in the field of adult education, important directions of development of andragogical competence of teaching staff of non-pedagogical higher education institutions are determined.
