Abstract
The essence of the most productive reading technologies and practices, the implementation of which contributes to the effective formation of the initial prognostic skills of younger schoolchildren, is substantiated. This is the technology of step-by-step processing of texts of various types; the technology of dialogic interaction of the student with the text, the author of the work; technology for the development of critical thinking through reading and writing. Their effectiveness in the context of students' in-depth understanding of texts of various types is highlighted, the application of the specified reading technologies in literary reading lessons is illustrated.
