Abstract
The article raises questions about the fact that the political situation in the country convinces that a large number of values, which until recently were considered basic, are actively denied as conditional within the limits of today. A new philosophical vision began to emerge on the basis of the elimination of previously accepted values and the leveling of basic principles. For today's generation, the paradigm of universal values and humanization as the main driving force of the educational process must be nurtured in modern schools, including through the means of school geography. The author of the article, after analyzing the modern methodological literature on geography teaching methods and recent publications, was convinced that researchers pay considerable attention to the problems of education through geographical educational material, and the views of K. D. Ushinsky are still relevant and are successfully implemented in Ukrainian schools during the revival and development of the Ukrainian education and training system.
