Abstract

The thesis deals with the European Research Area (ERA), a system of research programs for the integration of scientific resources in the European Union. The emphasis is placed on the Horizon Europe program, through which it is being implemented. The purpose of Horizon Europe is outlined, which is to solve global problems and promote industrial modernization through concerted research and innovation efforts. The global objectives include strengthening the European scientific and technological base and the European Research Area and increasing Europe's innovation potential and competitiveness. The benefits of the Horizon Europe program for researchers are emphasized.
