Abstract
According to the data of world statistics of the World Health Organization (WHO, 2023), mental and neurological manifestations make up 13% of the burden of diseases, which negatively affects the economy, the well-being of the population and leads to an increase in health care costs. In Ukraine, there is a sharp deterioration in the mental health of citizens. This issue needs to be resolved through the development of a sustainable system of mental health care and providing access to patient-oriented medical/pharmaceutical care for mental health issues in the field of drug sales to the Ukrainian population. The practice of implementation in professional educational programs of pharmacists has a proven effectiveness in the long term at pre/post diploma levels of education. Therefore, the introduction into the domestic practice of professional training of pharmacists of educational programs on the mental health of the population both at the master's level and in the system of continuous professional development is quite logical in the process of formal and informal education, as well as at the master's level.
