Abstract

The article examines the question of forming general physics course content in the national high school from its inception to the implementation of the unified system of higher education in the 1930s. It reflects the peculiarities of its implementation in educational programs and textbooks for Ukrainian universities. On the basis of historical and methodical analysis of the content of physical education it is suggested that this process is correspondent to the tendencies of strengthening of systematic and scientific features as the leading didactic characteristics of modern university physics courses.
