Abstract

Self-education activity is characterized as an integral component of the professional development of scientific and pedagogical workers of higher education institutions. The main characteristics, tasks and functions of self-education activities are highlighted. Emphasis is placed on the expediency and importance of self-education for scientific and pedagogical workers of higher education institutions.
