Abstract
In a socially oriented market economy, there is a constant interaction between the labor market, social programs and employment policy. The labor market plays a key role in a socially oriented market economy. Labor supply and demand determine wages and the unemployment rate. The results of this affect people's lives and well-being. The more jobs available in the labor market, the fewer unemployed and more opportunities for citizens to earn a living. On the other hand, if the demand for labor falls, it can lead to an increase in unemployment and a decrease in social welfare.
