Abstract
The article updates the problem of developing model curricula and textbooks based on didactic systems defined by the authors. Attention is focused on the need to develop innovative textbooks on technologies that will contribute to the effective implementation of the educational subject “Technology” in the educational process of the new Ukrainian school at the level of basic secondary education. The didactic structure of the author’s model curriculum “Technologies. Grades 7–9” and related textbooks based on the concept of cultural content of technological education, which is consistent with personal and competence-oriented learning are justified and characterized. The didactic structure of the textbook takes into account the academic freedom of the teacher and pupils during the selection of the objects of project-technological activity and the technology for their creation, at the same time it solves multidimensional tasks to achieve the expected learning outcomes according to the model curriculum. The offered didactic structure of the textbook, the criterion-evaluation technology of formative and summative evaluation are aimed at the consistent and gradual formation of critical design and technical thinking in pupils, the education of responsibility and confidence in one’s own abilities, the development of readiness and ability to creatively solve real problems in changing everyday life – from household to social and professional ones.
