Abstract

The curriculum of the discipline “Foreign Language and Academic Writing” is compiled in accordance with the educational and scientific program of training of the third level of higher education in the field of knowledge 01 “Education/Pedagogy” for specialty 014 “Secondary Education”. The aim of the discipline “Foreign Language and Academic Writing” is to equip students with skills (language competence) of effective reading and understanding of foreign (English) social political and scientific literature, academic writing and scientific search, communication within the scientific environment, creation of presentations for international scientific conferences, discussion of dissertation works in the form of scientific presentations with the use of technical tools; communication on topical topics of international, cultural and scientific importance; perception of scientific speech with adequate response, taking into account the culture of native speakers of foreign (English) language.
