Abstract
The author of the article makes an in-depth analysis of the problem of teaching geography in the New Ukrainian School. Since geography as a science is complex and integrated in its content, this feature is reflected in both the purpose and the content of studying geography at school. Therefore, the study of the environment and natural phenomena is carried out using a universal toolkit: research, forecasting and modeling. In the content of the article, the reader will find information about the fact that geography has research methods characteristic only for it. That is why there are specific methods of organizing work using these methods when studying geography at school. Pedagogical explorations are ongoing, large-scale work on didactic and methodical support for teaching geography at the National Academy of Sciences is underway.
