Abstract
The article based on the study and analysis of educational works, scientific sources and archival materials, for the first time explores the formation of the content of general physics course in the Ukraine in the 1920s – 1930s. In the article substantiated the expediency of the positioning of this period in the history of national physics and didactics of physical educational process with the active development of higher education system in Ukraine, development of general physics as a discipline and the creation of domestic scientific and methodological first Ukrainian textbooks for physics for high school. The peculiarities of formation of the maintenance of general physics are analyzed and stresses on that this process is characterized by the establishment of a scientific and systematic compliance training content in accordance with the traditions of the contemporary European university physical education. The experience of the creation of educational and methodical support the course of general physics Higher Professional School in Ukraine. It illuminates the scientific and pedagogical activity of the authors of the first Ukrainian physics textbooks for higher education, Boris Lisiansky and Andrew Zhelehovsky. The contribution of scientists to the development of the theory and practice of physics teaching in higher vocational school was sustained.
