Abstract
The methodical manual is devoted to the problem of introducing multilingual education, which is aimed at forming the ability to competently serve students in several languages, including using them for communication and learning; tolerant interact in a multicultural society. The manual presents a model of multilingual education for general institutions of secondary education with the teaching of the languages of indigenous peoples and national minorities, disclosed the content of competencies that are formed in the process of implementing the proposed model. The authors of the manual characterized methods and techniques aimed at formation multilingual competence of students in the context of the proposed model: comparative, receptive methods, СLIL technique, tandem method, translation method, reception switching of language codes, reception of scaffolding; determined the results from implementation of the model that participants of the experimental study stated and analyzed the risks that may arise in the process of implementing the model and ways their overcoming. The methodological guide is intended for scientists, representatives of the administration institutions of general secondary education, teachers, students of pedagogical institutions of higher education of education, all those who are interested in the problem of multilingual education and participate in it implemented in Ukrainian institutions of general secondary education.
