Abstract
In the article, the problem of ensuring the educational and methodological provision for the Physics course at the secondary vocational school in terms of transformation of the structure and functions of comprehensive education is tropicalized. For the first time, the historical experience and methodological development of physical education at the secondary vocational school in Ukraine in 1920-1930’s was comprehensively summarized. The features of the formation of the content of teaching physics. The identity of the content and the methods of teaching physics in the national vocational school of this period, the didactic value of the lay-outs of the homeland methodologists, their contribution to the development of urgent theoretical and practical problems of physics didactics are specified. The attention is focused on the achievements of methodology in the area of ensuring the systematic implementation of the ideas of physics vocational schools, developing methods of active learning oriented at making pupils get acquainted with the methods of scientific knowledge of nature. Specific features of the development of the profession oriented secondary education in the context of addressing the major challenges of school physics course are analyzed. The current approaches to develop teaching of physics course at the professional grammar schools are covered.
