Abstract

Currently, the problem of dentophobia (irrational fear of dental treatment, chronic psycho-emotional stress before dental intervention, which leads to avoidance of treatment and deterioration of the condition of the oral cavity) is extremely relevant for Ukraine; special attention to the prevention of dentophobia in children and adolescents. In our opinion, it is worth noting that although the phobia is an irrational phenomenon at the moment of time (during the visit to the dentist), that is, it does not have any real reasons right now, on the contrary, such a condition in most cases has specific reasons in the past, because the phobia is often associated with the patient's negative experience.
