Abstract

In the conditions of war, extreme situations and long-term stress experienced by Ukraine and its citizens, it becomes natural to exhaust the body's protective forces, adaptation capabilities of both adults and representatives of the most vulnerable category of persons - children. The results of such events can be mental disorders of a neurotic and psychogenic nature. One of these disorders is post-traumatic stress disorder, under the conditions of which there are characteristic changes in the child's personality, maladaptation to the surrounding microsocial and macrosocial environment, deterioration of health in general, not only of the child's psyche. Children, in particular with special educational needs, need increased attention, support, psychological help and appropriate support after being in extreme situations. The effectiveness of overcoming the consequences of children's stay in extreme situations and their return to society depends on when and to what extent psychological assistance will be provided.
