Also, the open Ukrainian citation index contains metadata of all publications, through the use of the Cited-by service from Crossref. The paper describes a methodological system of training in the use of the open Ukrainian search engine for scientometrics citations and its scientometrics indicators. The services that should be used to evaluate the effectiveness of scientific and pedagogical research of individual researchers, individual departments, individual research institutions, and higher education institutions are considered. The article describes 13 filters that can be used to speed up the search for documents among the publications presented in the databases: Scopus, Web of Science, Nature Index journals, Flemish Academic Bibliographic Database for the Social Sciences and Humanities, Directory of Open Access Journals. It is concluded that students who complete this course will be able to properly present their creative achievements and accomplishments for publication and evaluation of their work.
