Abstract
The monograph examines the genesis and development of traditional national models of vocational education and training (VET) of European and world states during the industrial revolutions in the context of the general civilizational progress of mankind, socio-economic, political and spiritual-cultural transformations of societies, achievements of scientific, technical and technological progress. An important subject of analysis is the evolution of the EU policy in the field of VET, taking into account dynamic changes in the labor market, the introduction of new tools, principles and directions of the European community's activities regarding the training of qualified workers. Special attention is focused on the institutionalization of general and national VET systems in the European Union, innovative approaches to the organization, content, forms and methods of professional training, taking into account the influence of powerful globalization, demographic, socio-economic processes and in the conditions of digitalization and the transition to a "green" economy. The work contains significant reference, analytical and statistical material on the new concepts, projects, tools and criteria of professional training. Practical the analysis of VET reforms carried out in EU countries is important for Ukraine, primarily Central and Eastern Europe, which had similar starting conditions before at the beginning of accession to the Union. The work is addressed to a wide range of educators, managers and teaching staff of professional (vocational and technical) education institutions, employees of scientific and methodical centers (cabinets) of vocational and technical education of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine, representatives of state and non-governmental bodies, agencies, structures, institutions, organizations that care questions of P(PT)O, as well as teachers, students of higher education institutions, scientists.
