Abstract
In the context of the institution-wide topic of the study, intermediate results are represented with the subtopic "Cognitive interaction of the teacher-tutor and the student in the conditions of online and distance professional development". It has been proven that a polymodal educational text enables cognitive interaction and the implementation of five key online learning strategies: communication and interaction; management planning; revitalization; orientation and motivation; assessment Among the learning technologies that we can implement in the online training of teachers, cognitive ones have become a priority. The concept of "cognitive learning technologies" is interpreted as a system, information technology, as a method and algorithm for achieving goals, methods and techniques of personality development, methods of transformation, etc., focused on cognition, learning, communication, information processing. The unifying factor for these approaches is the presence of a point (interface) where two systems meet and interact - a person and computing equipment. One of such significant points of cognitive interaction is the educational text, which in online learning / professional development becomes polymodal (creolized), in which verbal and non-verbal elements are aimed at activating the brain activity of learning subjects. The presentation is structured around five main issues related to own experience and modern research array on the development and application of polymodal educational texts in online teacher training.
