Abstract
In the article, based on the analysis of scientific literature and the obtained statistical data, the problem and practice of motivating teachers of vocational education in the conditions of development of competencies and skills is analyzed and investigated. The competence approach as a complex of methodological, paradigmatic structural components, aimed at the formation of competences and competences based on the optimal ratio of theoretical knowledge, skills, abilities, professionally significant and personal qualities, which ensure effective training of the future qualified worker, is also considered. The changes taking place during the period of martial law in Ukraine lead to the need to adapt the education system to the changed conditions, to find new motivators. At the same time, the steady development of the country causes a change in the motivation system of teachers in the process of professionalization, where the need for self-realization occupies an important place. Interests and motives give rise to changes in the behavior of teachers in their professional activities, namely, they relate to new competencies that are necessary for effective work. The main motive of professional activity and the task of a teacher of vocational education institutions is to prepare qualified workers for competition in the labor market. The barriers that demotivate the teacher and create internal obstacles to innovative activity and the development of the necessary competencies are uncertainty, a sense of loss, and the conviction that nothing good will come from the changes. It was established that at each stage of professionalization, it is necessary to apply the appropriate motives of employees, and motivation for success is an incentive for innovative activities in the educational environment.
