Abstract
Global political, economic, and social trends in the world and in Ukraine are forcing the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to respond quickly to these changes in order to survive the crisis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, higher education institutions restructured the learning process and switched to distance learning, using various innovative and interactive technologies. However, with the outbreak of a full-scale war, teachers and psychologists faced an important task of finding psychological mechanisms for the formation and development of students’ motivational sphere. With the help of such mechanisms, it is possible to positively influence the behavior of the individual, reducing the impact of negative consequences and supporting educational and scientific activities. The purpose of the study was to investigate the psychological mechanisms of formation and development of motivational properties of the individual. In the process of analyzing the topic, theoretical methods were used: analysis, systematization, generalization. In the course of the study, scientific researches on the definition of the concepts of “mechanism” and “psychological mechanisms” were considered. It is found that the qualitative and substantive psychological properties of civil law regulation include motivational phenomena. Among the main psychological mechanisms of development of the motivational sphere are the following: self-regulation, self-reflection, self-determination, goal-setting, self-actualization, communication and humor. The main factors of the motivational sphere of a personality, in particular the need to acquire new knowledge, profession, and diploma, are determined. It has been found that the motivational properties of a student are influenced not only by professional development, achievements, success, but also by external circumstances, such as study conditions, scholarships, relationships with the group and teachers. The theoretical significance of the results obtained is to clarify the data on the development of the motivational sphere among students, deepen knowledge about psychological mechanisms in the research of modern psychologists.
