Abstract

Control, correction and evaluation of learning outcomes are extremely important in the formation of key competences in general and historical subject competence in particular. Also, evaluation acts as an incentive for independent work of schoolchildren, contributes to the formation of responsibility, conscientiousness of students of general secondary education. The educational discipline offers students of higher education, future teachers, a scientific vision of the results of research on the formation of a system of control and evaluation of the educational achievements of students of general secondary education and its evolution, reveals the peculiarities of the formation of a system of verification, control, correction and evaluation of the knowledge of students of general secondary education at various stages of the development of secondary education education in Ukraine in the modern age. Considerable attention is paid to the functions and forms of checking the results of educational activities of students of general secondary education in history lessons.
