Abstract
The purpose of the article is to analyze and substantiate the method of diagnosis of socially successful personality of senior students in the process of group activity. The researchers used theoretical methods: analysis and synthesis of theoretical and scientific-methodological sources for developing basic approaches to the interpretation of the identifying of socially successful personality and the selection of diagnostic tools for the development of research method. The authors analyzed the approaches to the definition of «success» and «social success» to find a definition that fully corresponds the purpose and objectives of the research. Socially successful person is a person able to create material and spiritual values in the future, change social life for the better, to analyze and evaluate the consequences of these changes, to prove the value of one’s own opinion to others. It was found that the senior school age is a sensitive period of development skills. This age is characterizing by the need to belong to a group, so it is advisable to develop the skills of a socially successful individual in the process of group activity. The researchers noted that in order to form a socially successful personality, senior school students need to develop communication skills, self-control, empathy, cooperation, analysis and problem solving, conflict prevention and resolution, assertiveness, self-awareness and self-esteem, skills for effective group activity, to determine the level of motivation to get success and create comfortable conditions in the educational environment. It was selected diagnostics instruments for research formation of socially successful personality skills of a senior student in the process of group activity. They are questionnaire “Key social skills of students” by Vorontsova and Ponomarenko, questionnaire to assess the level of skills for group activity by Franken, questionnaire “Motivation for success and fear of failure” by Rean, questionnaire “The need to succeed” by Orlov, the questionnaire “Social behavioral practices of students” by Vorontsova and Ponomarenko.
