Abstract
The article is dedicated to one of the urgent problems of modern psychological and pedagogical science – the development of assertiveness of high school pupils in the context of the formation of a successful personality. The work determined that one of the vectors of research work aimed at forming a successful personality of a modern pupil is the development of assertiveness, which is significant for his social adaptation, harmonious interaction with the surrounding world, and personal self-affirmation in society. The focus of the researcher's attention is the normative-legislative framework in the field of educational policy regarding the upbringing of the younger generation, which is based on the clarification of the initial positions of the research, and methodological approaches in the development of assertiveness of senior class pupils. The author emphasizes the important role of general secondary education institutions in providing the conditions for the formation of a successful personality, it is indicated that the process of developing the assertiveness of senior class pupils in the context of the formation of a successful personality takes place more effectively in the context of personally oriented, acmeological, axiological, competence, environmental, systemic approaches, the peculiarities are highlighted of each of the methodological approaches and focused attention on their coordination in the development of assertiveness of senior class pupils according to the principle of logical complementarity, taking into account the socio-psychological characteristics of senior class pupils. Also, in the proposed research, based on the reflection of the scientific work of domestic and foreign scientists, the phenomenon of assertiveness was considered and it was noted that senior school age, due to its sensitivity, is the most favorable for the development of assertiveness. The paper clarifies the essence of the concept of «assertiveness of a senior school pupil», outlines the content guidelines for the development of assertiveness of senior school pupils in the context of the formation of a successful personality, and substantiates the important role of assertiveness in the formation of the success of a school pupil.
