Abstract
Extreme speed of development of industrial society and relatively slow changes in the educational sector have always been a dilemma not only in Ukraine but also in countries near and far abroad. It is known that scientists are currently developing educational and methodological tools of programs based on the development of life skills, investigating the effectiveness of such programs and ways of their use in other problem areas. However, today there are not enough programs aimed at the prevention of destructive ways of behavior and formation of positive behavioral patterns, especially in our country. Thus, the purpose of the article is to carry out a comparative analysis of the implementation of life skills based education in foreign and domestic space. To achieve it, we used theoretical research methods: analysis and synthesis of theoretical and scientific and methodological sources. In the Ukrainian educational, as the author of the article, spacious programs on the basis of life skills development began to be implemented from the beginning of the 2000s. “Formation of preventive educational environment – and this is quite a complex process, which for each educational institution is by duration, potential resources,” but the article researches examples of such programs that have had proven results, namely qualitative behavioral changes in adolescents. The article emphasizes that Ukraine has considerable successful experience in implementing such programs to prevent socially dangerous diseases and develop life skills for the development of world, so is ready to expand the use of programs based on life skills development. The author concludes that such programs have a high potential for use not only for the prevention of socially dangerous diseases, but also for the formation of positive patterns of behavior. In particular, the prospect of the study is to use the world and domestic experience to develop a program for the formation of group pro-social activities skills of adolescents.
