Abstract

The methodological manual examines the theoretical principles of vocabulary work in the process of teaching Ukrainian language to elementary school students of general secondary education institutions with instruction in the languages of national minorities, the specifics of language learning in bilingualism, and considerations regarding the optimal vocabulary of students. The content of the methodology for enriching the Ukrainian language vocabulary of 3rd-4th grade students based on the competence approach and the peculiarities of the organization of the corresponding educational activity of the students are described. The methodological guide will be useful to teachers, program developers, authors of textbooks and study guides on the Ukrainian language for students of general secondary education institutions with instruction in the languages of national minorities.
