Abstract
The article presents the results of the analysis of model curricula and textbooks for the 5th grade of general secondary institutions regarding the representation of the Physical component of basic education in their content. The principles of integration of the Physical component in integrated courses, and their general and distinctive features are clarified. The content of the Physical component is evaluated according to the proposed criterion of propaedeutics, that is, one that precedes a deeper and more detailed study of Physics and ways to present it in textbooks of Natural Science courses for the 5th grade of general secondary education institutions. Models of building a basic education Physics course based on propaedeutics of Physics in grades 5–6 are predicted.
