Abstract
The methodological recommendations highlight the theoretical foundations of professional training of high school teachers in foreign countries. The peculiarities of organisation, content, forms and methods of professional training of high school teachers in foreign countries are clarified and its promising directions of development are identified. It is shown that pedagogical practice (general, special, individual) occupies a significant place in the professional training of high school teachers in foreign countries. Promising directions of development of professional training of high school teachers in foreign countries are identified. The possibilities of creative use of progressive ideas of foreign experience in the system of teacher education in Ukraine are outlined. The implementation of the methodological recommendations will contribute to the actualisation of the problem of professional training of high school teachers in Ukraine and the awareness of the need to develop recommendations for improving the state of national in-service teacher education, in particular, improving the system of professional development of teachers, taking into account constructive ideas of foreign experience. The methodological recommendations are addressed to teachers and students of higher education institutions, professional higher education institutions, institutions of continuing pedagogical education for use in the process of training and professional development of pedagogical specialists in the field of 01 ‘Education/Pedagogy’.
