Abstract
The basis of the educational programme is the consideration of topical issues of professional training of high school teachers in foreign countries. The analysis of its content, forms and methods of organisation makes it possible to outline the possibilities of using progressive ideas of foreign experience in teacher education in the system of higher and postgraduate teacher education in Ukraine. The programme presents topics that reveal the state of high school teacher training in foreign countries, the peculiarities of pedagogical practice and internships at school, and ways of further professional development. The content of the programme includes an introduction to the regulatory framework of teacher education in foreign countries, consideration of the theoretical, methodological and methodological foundations of continuous professional development of teachers abroad. The implementation of the educational programme will contribute to the development of methodology for conducting comparative pedagogical research in comparative pedagogy, as well as to the involvement of teachers and students in promising foreign experience in terms of transforming teacher education in developed European countries. The educational programme can be used by teachers of higher and postgraduate teacher education institutions. It will be useful for researchers, pedagogical staff, heads of educational institutions of various levels, master's and undergraduate students, as well as those interested in the development of teacher education in foreign countries.
