Abstract
The article is devoted to the theoretical study of the problem of psychological safety of elementary school students in the conditions of a modern educational institution. Various aspects of understanding and defining the essence of the concept of «safety of the educational environment», and also the concept of psychological safety of the student’s personality, were studied. The purpose of the research is to analyze and identify the factors and mechanisms of formation and development of the psychological safety of the personality of elementary school students. As a result of the analysis of theoretical sources of domestic and foreign researchers, the main groups of risk factors for the psychological safety of younger schoolchildren were identified and identified, namely factors of the educational process, social-psychological and internal (subjective) factors. Also identified are potential threats caused by the specifics of the child’s development of this age period, as well as the social situation of development and various aspects of the physical, ecological, and informational environment. In the process of research, the specifics of psychological support for the psychological safety of the personality of a junior schoolchildren and the creation of a safe educational environment were established, based on the socalled resource approach, that is, the identification and use of various types of resources. According to the most widespread classification of resources, they are divided into personal and environmental resources, which are internal and external variables that contribute to psychological stability in stressful situations, that is, what a person leans on to meet the demands of the environment. In the course of the research, it was established that the state of psychological safety of younger schoolchildren arises as a result of the transformation of external influences through internal conditions. At the same time, internal conditions are internal risk factors and resources, and external influences are external risk factors, resources and support. In order to support psychological safety, resources should be allocated or created that can resist risk factors, provide the ability to successfully adapt to various life demands, and are manifested both in a physiological and psychological context, directing the behavior of the individual and his activities.
