Abstract
The article singles out a number of contradictions that exist in the education system of Ukraine that need to be resolved, and defines the key directions projected for the future of the prospective development of national education, the implementation of which will resolve the identified contradictions. The existing discrepancies in the system of teaching staff training as a direct driver of the realization of the key directions of the prospective development of domestic education are outlined. The policy and activities of UNESCO in the field of education are highlighted. The recommendations of UNESCO regarding the new concept of education, which actualize the need to create conditions for each person to form and develop their creative potential in accordance with the key tasks of education of the 21st century: teach to learn (master the tools needed to understand what is happening in the world); teach to act (in such a way as to make the necessary changes in one’s environment); teach to live together (in society, participating in all types of human activity and cooperating with others); finally learn to live. Orientation of the further development of education in the direction of continuous education of a person throughout life and obtaining the maximum benefit from its results. It is noted that the tasks facing education at the current stage of the development of society and the various forms it can take cover the entire life path of a person and allow everyone to gain access to knowledge of the world, others and himself. Based on the results of the research, the main trends in the development of domestic education aimed at training highly professional personnel for various branches of the state economy, including teaching staff, have been identified. The specified trends are aimed at realizing the main goal of the development of domestic education – improving the quality of training of highly professional personnel for various branches of the state economy, including teaching staf.
