Abstract
modern deaf pedagogical theory and practice faces new challenges. The role of modern technical means has increased tenfold compared to 5 years ago. This process is so fast-paced that we don't even keep up with new innovations: gadgets, phones, computers, services, networks, applications... Of course, this process cannot but affect the position of traditional education (TN) of students with hearing impairments, when innovations in the application of computer technologies by means of modern TK became a reality. Modern deaf-pedagogical science is presented by the use of ICT at both theoretical and practical levels, to a lesser extent by the experience of the influence of martial law on the quality of such a process. We have witnessed events that are happening very quickly in real time (for objective reasons: the coronavirus, the Russian-Ukrainian war). Taking into account these challenges, distance learning (DL) has become a reality, it is in contradiction with TN, it allows to realize the possibilities of ICT in the educational process, as an element of the integral structure of educational activity in the provision of educational and rehabilitation services. According to the monitoring carried out in the department of sign language training, the peculiarities of LD were revealed. In particular, if before the war we considered the form of DN as an episodic, temporary process in all educational institutions, now it becomes: a) objective reality, which is currently carried out at a certain time, in a certain space with the involvement of experienced specialists, where the participants are separated by distances; a) a system based on language didactics of the deaf-pedagogical direction, which requires the development of a technological component, qualified personnel training, modern resource provision, assessment of opportunities and abilities, pros and cons, various conditions for effective implementation, study of problems, positives, ways of improvement at different levels.
