Abstract

Introduction. Psychological well-being of individuals in general and managers of VET institutions in particular is an internal resource of self-support and sanogenic potential that contributes to their self-realization despite all the challenges of today. Therefore, it is relevant to study the psychological well-being of managers of VET institutions in general and its characteristics depending on social relations, in particular, the type of attitude towards staff. Aim. Empirically investigate the psychological specificity of the psychological well-being of the heads of VET institutions with different types of attitudes towards the staff of the educational organization. Methods. Testing methods and statistical-mathematical methods of processing the results were used to conduct the research. Results of the research. Both the insufficient level of psychological well-being for a significant number of managers of VET institutions and its features depending on the type of attitude towards the staff of educational organizations were revealed, in particular, the highest level of well-being in the case of an active-positive type of attitude towards employees and the lowest – neutral-indifferent and hidden-negative type. Conclusion. The obtained results can be used in the psychological training of managers of professional (vocational and technical) education institutions, psychological support of their professional activities.
