Abstract
The article deals with the problem of developing the soft skills of specialists in the conditions of dynamic changes in the modern labor market. Based on the analysis of professional literature, the concept of “soft skills” was defined, and its content was analyzed. It is noted that in todayʼs conditions, employers, when selecting employees, pay attention not only to the level of development of their professional competences, but also to the level of English language proficiency, the ability to self-study, negotiate, negotiate, present themselves, etc. The range of personal qualities and competencies of specialists that contribute to the achievement of set goals, effective organization of oneʼs environment and time, presentation of oneself as an effective spe-cialist, development of professional competence, as well as successful cooperation with others was studied. It is noted that curiosity and willingness to constantly learn are important for professional activity and everyday life the dependence of flexible skills on the character and life experience of the individual is determined. It is noted that they combine personal qualities, social and behavioral attitudes. The attention is focused on the fact that flexible skills allow you to effectively adapt, cooperate and co-mmunicate, quickly navigate in different situations, successfully manage conflicts. It is emphasized that the high qualification of a specialist does not always indicate his ability to work effectively and interact with other participants in professional inte-raction. It is noted that competent specialists who know how to quickly learn, adapt and find creative solutions are of great value to employers. It is noted that during studies at the university, it is advisable to include the study and development of flexible skills in educational programs. Information portals, job search sites, and Google searches were analyzed. The most important flexible skills identified by employers are considered (endurance; responsibility, honesty, individual readiness to take on responsibilities and cope with challenges; flexibility; curiosity and the ability to ask questions; intellectual skills that ensure continuous professional development; leadership; effective thinking skills).
