Abstract

The significance of the formation of mathematical competence in the development of a child with special educational needs is revealed. The leading ways of involving the child and his family in the study of mathematics are indicated. Recommendations are given to improve the competence of specialists in matters of family support and organization of activities for the formation of elementary mathematical ideas of a child with special educational needs in the family environment.
