Abstract

The monograph reveals the essence of the phenomenon of emotional intelligence of adolescents with intellectual development disorders, outlines the main mechanisms, functions, levels, components, leading determinants of the formation of the phenomenon. The influence of emotional intelligence on the formation of the personality of adolescents with intellectual development disorders is revealed and experimentally substantiated: on the formation of the basic life competencies of the individual; behavioral, emotional, motivational, cognitive, social and communicative spheres. The content of the psychological diagnosis of emotional intelligence for a certain group of people is described in detail, and the features of multi-complex psychological support for the formation of emotional intelligence of adolescents with intellectual development disorders are formulated. The monograph is addressed to scientists, students, teachers, educators (teachers, educators, social workers) of special educational institutions, special psychologists and other specialists who have a relationship or scientific interest in the scientific problems defined in the work.
