Abstract
The subject of discussion from the point of view of an ecological approach to understanding the well-being of a child at school is currently the theory of recognition based on Honneth's model. It is shown that it can be quite relevant for solving the issues of ensuring such well-being. Three specific ways of recognition: love, rights and solidarity - in the process of research were identified as care, respect and value. Recognition theory is a powerful tool for normative assessment of the extent to which the educational environment is able to provide opportunities for everyone to receive the recognition they deserve.
