Abstract
The article shows the main theoretical foundations that are crucial in the development of the content of labor training educational area "Technology" for mentally retarded children of special schools. The necessity the methodological foundations of professional labor training of mentally retarded pupils and the development of software and methodical support of labor training in institutions for children with mental disabilities as an important condition of successful socialization are determed. It present the analysis of the peculiarities of software labor training school grades 5-7 with learning disabilities. It emphasized the use of teachers base component and variable content modules in the course of labor training at the basic level of special schools. The content of vocational job training in a special school for mentally retarded children is aimed at ensuring prepare students for independent performing various types of work in terms of public and private enterprises and their own life and provides for the preparation of students for further education in vocational education for the professions.
