Abstract
Theoretical aspects of the problem of the development of cognitive activity of younger schoolchildren with hearing impairment. In the Law of Ukraine "On Education", State Standards of basic primary and secondary general education, as well as "Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Education" regarding the features of access of persons with special educational needs to educational services" (2017, No. 30, Article 322) the innovations laid down by the reform of the National Academy of Sciences are revealed in detail, the tasks are defined, the main ones of which are: the development of the child's individuality based on the identification of his aptitudes, abilities and opportunities, the formation of value orientations, the satisfaction of the interests and needs of a growing personality, the education of the needs for independent knowledge of the world, the development of creative skills application of acquired knowledge in practical activities. In this regard, the development of cognitive activity of the child's personality is an important condition necessary for achieving positive results of education and upbringing.
